Ing. De Ferrari S.a.s. is an independent marine surveying and consultancy company based in Genoa (Italy), undertaking a broad range of surveys and inspections on behalf of Hull and Machinery (H&M) underwriters and Protection and Indemnity (P&I) Clubs, providing marine consultancy for new building and major repair or conversion purposes as well as technical advice for second-hand vessels sale and purchase.
Additional services include technical management, assistance and supervision during both ship construction and major repair or conversion affecting every type of vessel from yachts to the largest ULCC and the more complex chemical/oil products tanker. Our Company guarantee to react quickly to new instructions and promptly attend a casualty whenever and wherever it occurs.

The company "Studio Tecnico Ing. De Ferrari" was established in 1946 by the father of the current manager, Francesco De Ferrari, graduated in Naval Architecture and Marine Engineering at the University of Genoa (Italy).
At the beginning, the company main business consisted of ship design and construction meeting the technical requirements of Italian shipyards in charge to renovate/renew the Italian fleet after the end of Second World War.
In 1989 the company was registered as "Ing. de Ferrari & C. s.a.s.", and over the subsequent twenty years the company services ranged from technical consultancy and supervision of design and construction to damage surveying activities on behalf of both Italian and foreign Underwriters and major P&I Clubs.
Our company is staffed by qualified and experienced master mariners, naval architects and marine engineers who are able to provide 24/7 expertise and technical support for every type of marine casualty.
